COVID-19: Front Liners

As COVID-19 strikes the Philippines, our healthcare workers and various frontliners are the forefront of the fight against the virus. They face the hazard of infection everyday. Healthcare workers who directly work with COVID-positive patients are outnumbered; and due to their first-hand exposure, some staff require quarantine themselves - reducing their numbers. Another big challenge for frontliners is the lack of medical supplies including Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).

Indeed, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing difficulties. But, despite these difficulties, one thing is certain; the “bayanihan spirit” is alive and innate in us Filipinos. Together we rise and faced the pandemic. The advent of calls for volunteer-driven relief efforts in the midst of the COVID- 19 pandemic is evidence that the Filipino bayanihan thrives in times of crisis.

We salute all the people who are trying their best to fight this crisis for fellow Filipinos. There are many ways to support our frontliners and each other during this time. However, one of the best ways to help them is by following protocols and staying healthy at home.

"Pandemic Ka Lang, I Am Filipino"

               Let's fight against COVID-19!

As COVID-19 strikes the Philippines, the government imposed the largest effort to flatten the curve of cases. Work, classes, and even transportation are suspended. There are long lines in the grocery stores. Some basic commodities are becoming scarce. From alcohol, masks, and personal protective equipment (PPE's) that are meant to be protecting the frontliners have been unavailable in the market.

At the forefront of the fight against the virus are our healthcare workers and various frontliners. They face the hazard of infection everyday. Healthcare workers who directly work with COVID-positive patients are outnumbered; and due to their first-hand exposure, some staff require quarantine themselves - reducing their numbers. Another big challenge for frontliners is the lack of medical supplies including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's).

Indeed, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing difficulties, rendering the underprivileged in the country more vulnerable.

Community quarantine and social distancing has not hindered our kababayans in looking for ways to help with the battle. Different groups, individuals, classmates, colleagues - groups big and small - have come together, despite limited resources and movement. Showing everyone that we are all in this together.

We salute all the people who are trying their best to fight this crisis for fellow Filipinos. There are many ways to support our frontliners and each other during this time. However, one of the best ways to help them is by following protocols and staying healthy at home.

Reflection

I've learned a lot on the last or fourth quarter of ICT-10. I enjoyed this quarters lessons because I am able to learn new things about some stuffs.

At first I experienced some difficulties in doing or performing the different required works like using the Photoshop in editing because I am not really good ath those. But luckily, I am able to learn those things, because of  striving and trying to do it rightly.

All of us has a dream or goals in life. Someday, I want to be a Doctor because back when I was a child, that is what I really want to be.

In order to achieve this dream, we need to study hard and cope with our lessons. Even though there are difficulties or things that makes it more complicated upon achieving it. We need to remember that these are only challenges given by God to test us, so we must not give up, we need to keep going.

Because if you really want something and want to achieve your goals in life, you need to try in order to make it happen.

High School Day Celebration 2020

                                                      Day to Remember

Pressure is felt during our school days. A lot of projects, outputs, activities, and requirements are needed to pass on time, that's why the students are stressed. But in the end, they still managed their time to do it and be able to pass these on time.

And because of this, every end of the school year, the high school day is celebrated. This is done to  cool down, and for the students to relax & take a break from a long and very tiring school days.

High school day is celebrated usually at the month of march where the students at different school levels will perform the field demonstration after the parade around Vigan City. And on afternoon, the coronation of Mr. and Ms. ISNHS is done at the gymnasium.

We are able to forget the stresses and school & academic problems during the event, that's why I enjoyed the celebration of this year's high school day.
